In Destiny, Armor earn experience and are leveled up individually, much in the same way as Weapons. All classes have 5 armor slots, 4 of which are the same, and 1 of which is unique. Although Classes share armor slots, no class can use another's Armor and no player can pick up Armor for another Class.
