Gauntlets in Destiny are next to last in effectiveness of the Armor a Hunter, Warlock or Titan can wear (behind Chest Armor & Helmets). Besides protecting the player from damage, Gauntlets also grant bonuses to the players abilities. The bonuses can impact the reload speed of weapons, increase grenade throw distance, increase melee attack speed and reduce cooldowns for your melee or grenade abilities. The higher the quality of Gauntlet, the more bonuses it gets. The higher the level of the piece, the more Defense it provides.
In Destiny, Gauntlets protect the wrists and forearm of the Titan allowing for up-close and personal combat under fire. Starting at Uncommon quality and above they come with Gauntlet Upgrades that further benefit the Titan. Stats bonuses also begin to appear on each piece at the Uncommon level (getting higher with quality and level).
In Destiny, Gauntlets protect the wrists and forearm of the Warlock allowing for time to use abilities while under fire. Starting at Uncommon quality and above they come with Gauntlet Upgrades that further benefit the Warlock. Players will also find they get Stats bonuses from their armor, from Uncommon on up as well (getting higher with level and quality).
