Exotic Bounties, in Destiny, are a collection of specific tasks that, once completed, will reward the player with an Exotic Weapon. These appear to be handed out at random when you turn in Bounties. The more you turn in, the more likely it is to get one. There are also reports that 3 open up to you (of which you can pick one) once you reach Vanguard Rank 2.
